You see the most of the world – when you yourself are, or look through the lens of the minority. You see the least of the world – when you yourself have always been part of the world’s majority.
Would you rather be at the receiving end of inequality, or would you rather be at the receiving end of privilege?
One drowns you into the ugly side of the world, but helps you gain plently in awareness and growth; while the other dips you in pretty little things, but imprints you to stay unaware and ignorant (*not generalising to all the privileged ).
Hardships and experiences though painful, enriches the lives of the marginalised in humane ways we will never have the chance to journey in, or even comprehend.
And sometimes, it is the deep scars, challenges, and discrimination faced, which provide humans a life with more depth, alongside a more purposeful race, away from the superficial consummerism maze.
